Marble columns and sculpted figures at the ancient Acropolis in Athens

Social studies lessons and activities

Make history
meaningful.

I want students to get involved in history: examine a fossil discovery, debate a turning point, or figure out how a place shaped people’s lives. I create lessons that make room for that kind of thinking, with the support you need to teach them.

About me

I know what goes
into a good lesson.

I’ve spent more than twenty years teaching social studies and English language arts in grades 6–12, and there’s still so much I want students to discover. I bring that experience to lessons that give them something to investigate and discuss. I also put care into the teacher notes and student support, because you deserve to enjoy teaching the lesson, too.
